I have been asked by a DyingToLookGood.com member whether I recommend La Bella Donna mineral makeup.
It didn’t take very long to find ingredients that I don’t recommend (in red) in their Compressed Mineral Foundation product:
Ingredients: Mica, Kaolin, Zinc Stearate, Dimethicone, Jojoba Esters, Silica, Lauroyl Lysine, Fragrance (Naticide). May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, CI 77499, Bismuth Oxychloride, Yellow 5 Lake.
I also looked at the ingredients in the Loose Mineral Foundaton:
Ingredients: micronized titanium oxide, bismuth oxychloride, zinc oxide, iron oxides SPF 20
I’m not a fan of titanium dioxide since it is rated Group 2B (possible human carcinogen) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. In addition the titaniuim dioxide here is micronized. Although it has been said by some in the natural cosmetic industry that micronized titanium dioxide is not absorbed by the skin, there is still a question about the distinction between micronized and nanoparticles as used in these types of products. Some manufacturers use these terms interchangeably.
I do not recommend La Bella Donna Mineral Makeup. Click here for a better choice.
